We caught up with Mohamed Hlila, an FSE with Bouattour Equipements et Services in Tunisia who are one of our approved and trained distributors of PEAK Scientific products, to talk about his experience of running and installing PEAK Scientific’s Genius XE 35 nitrogen gas generator.

Typically what is the focus of your LC-MS analysis - what sort of applications?

Amino acid proteins.

What PEAK Scientific generators do you have in your laboratory and what LC-MS instruments do they supply?

We have the Genius XE35 which supplies the Vanquish Horizon - Exactive Plus from Thermo Fisher Scientific.

What prompted you to choose a PEAK generator for LC-MS and how long have you used it?

I spoke to several gas generator users and the majority confirmed that PEAK generators are robust and easy to use. In addition, I liked the design and the interface of this product. We’ve been using the generator for one year so far.

What has been the key benefit of deploying PEAK generators for LC-MS as opposed to your previous gas supply solution?

With the PEAK generator I haven't had any problems so far. It works 24 hours a day without stopping.

How would you describe your purchasing experience with PEAK in terms of speed of response, ease of ordering, catering for your needs and timing of delivery?

I can say only two words: very satisfied!

Have you ever had a site visit from a PEAK engineer in relation to your generator for LC-MS, if so, could you describe your experience of this support?

I had a visit by the representative of Thermo Scientific who sold me the generator with the LC-MS and he was very competent and professional.

Would you recommend PEAK Scientific generators to other laboratories - and if so, what would be your main reason for the recommendation?

Of course I recommend it. I will invite them to my laboratory and show them the performance of my generator.
