RSTS nitrogen supply still going strong with NM30LA

Huynh Hiep Nguyen, Service and Application Support at RSTS Scientific & Technical Services Company in Vietnam, talked to us about their 11-year-old NM30LA which they have been using in their lab to support their LC-MS/MS work.

RSTS Scientific & Technical Services Company operates across a range of scientific and technical fields including scientific research, technical services and consulting.

Typically, what is the focus of your LC-MS analysis - what sort of applications?

We focus on the products of pharmaceuticals, pesticides and antibiotics analysis.

What PEAK Scientific generators do you have in your laboratory and what LC-MS instruments do they supply?

NM30LA and TSQ Quantum Access Max from Thermo Scientific. This is the device I used to run the app on. I am currently instructing the staff there to make the app. This is my main role and position at this company (Trung Tam Kiem Nghiem Thuoc, My Pham, Thuc Pham Thanh Pho Ho Chi Minh).

What prompted you to choose a PEAK generator for LC-MS and how long have you used it?

It is a part of an LC-MS/MS project which we received before. We have been using it for more than 11 years and it is still working today.

What has been the key benefit of deploying PEAK generators for LC-MS as opposed to your previous gas supply solution?

In my opinion it is enough for my applications and we don’t have to change the gas tank as often.

How would you describe your purchasing experience with PEAK in terms of speed of response, ease of ordering, catering for your needs and timing of delivery?

I am the lucky person to do the installation of the main machine and have held the role of technical support for this customer until now. I have also had the opportunity to work directly with PEAK in other roles at other companies. Have you ever had a site visit from a PEAK engineer in relation to your generator for LC-MS, if so, could you describe your experience of this support?

We certainly have and I can say we were provided with good support for these instruments. Service understands the problem and can explain the problem which customer encountered. Then, give a clear and good solution.

Would you recommend PEAK Scientific generators to other laboratories - and if so, what would be your main reason for the recommendation?

Yes. I can say that. The main reason, we don’t have to change the gas tank as often. The current weakness appears in places where customers use compressed air machines but cannot stabilize to LC-MS/MS if using the purifiers (from PEAK) without Internal Tanks. This may also be because the supplier of main machine does not understand the problem.
