Save the Children Bake Sale

PEAK HQ colleagues have had a very busy few days preparing cakes for the Save the Children Bake Sale. Our engineers, Product Managers, Sales and Service teams really did PEAK proud by producing a vast array of tasty treats for the rest of us to enjoy.

This year our annual bake sale took a slight competitive twist as we had our resident Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood taste test the cakes before the flood gates opened and chaos descended. Sheena Sutherland, PA to MD, and James Boyle, Operations Manager, reviewed all the entries to decide upon the winner. They discussed overall look, taste and texture and after much deliberation, finally decided that the winner of the ‘Great British PEAK Off’ would be our In–House Recruiter, Leanne Gordon and her famous gin and tonic cupcakes. As you can see by the delight on Leanne’s face she was not expecting such an award.

Although we could only have one winner we were delighted by the numerous entries and amongst all the treats there was another cake that really did stand out.  Iain Kean, our PEAK HQ resident baker created a stunning Save the Children cake, sporting the PEAK colors with different layers of sponge inside.

Alison McEwan, Territory Sales Manger and organizer of the event, reported that PEAK managed to raise a whopping £370.20 for this worthy cause.

On a more serious note James Boyle, Operations Manager stated:

“We are delighted by the amount of money raised for Save the Children and we would like to say a huge thank you to all who baked and purchased at today’s event.”

Thank you to all who helped support the Save the Children Bake Sale!
