PEAK Scientific PPWR Compliance Statement
PEAK Scientific is committed to ensuring that its packaging materials and processes align with the requirements of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), Regulation (EU) 2025/40. The PPWR entered into force on 11 February 2025 and applies generally from 12 August 2026.
PEAK Scientific continuously reviews packaging specifications and supplier data to support compliance with applicable PPWR requirements relating to packaging sustainability, material composition, recyclability, and the reduction of packaging waste. At the time of writing all packaging is currently compliant under PPWR legislation, the primary change for the business its stakeholders being accessibility of data relating to the specific packaging a product or part is subject to.
To support regulatory compliance, transparency, and customer information requests, PEAK Scientific maintains technical data sheets for all packaging materials used across its product portfolio. These documents include relevant packaging specifications and supporting compliance information and are centrally stored within the company's ResourceSpace system, where they are accessible for any consumer to download as well as for internal review and audit purposes.
From the 12th of August, any party looking for their relevant technical document can request the document from their PEAK Scientific representative. Updated packaging will be rolled out over time which includes either a Pack No. on the box which can be used to search ResourceSpace for the applicable Technical Data Sheet or a QR code download of the Technical Data Sheet.
PEAK Scientific works closely with its packaging suppliers to obtain and maintain up-to-date technical and environmental data, enabling ongoing assessment against PPWR requirements and supporting the company's wider sustainability and regulatory compliance objectives. Packaging records and technical documentation are reviewed as part of PEAK Scientific's quality and environmental management processes to ensure continued alignment with evolving legislative requirements.
PEAK aims to meet and exceed the expectations of regulations in any of the locations in which we operate, supported by our regional offices in over 20 countries around the globe.
