Associate Professor Frank Dorman and his team at Pennsylvania State University‘s Biochemistry & Molecular Biology Department have been using Peak Scientific gas generators for many years for their laboratory analysis. Typically, what is the focus of your GC analysis - what sort of applications?

“Our GC analysis is focused on trace organics, environmental forensics and complex discovery-based organics separations.”

What Peak Scientific generators do you have in your laboratory and what GC instruments do they supply?

“In our lab we have several Precision Hydrogen 500 units, stand-alone air compressors coupled to Zero Air systems, Precision Nitrogen Trace as well as LC-MS nitrogen systems. Our Precision generators supply GC and GC-MS instruments from Agilent Technologies, Leco and Waters.”

What prompted you to choose a Peak generator and how long have you used them?

“Their service is head and shoulders above the rest! The product quality is also excellent.”

“Less issues with needing to monitor cylinders, but compared to other gas generators I've used in the past, Peak is extremely good when service is necessary, often having a person on site within 24 hours.”

“Yes, multiple times (I have around 15 generators) and they have rapid response, high competency and are very professional - best in their business!”

“Absolutely! Their service and product performance get a very high recommendation.”
