Peak Scientific Instruments, a fast–growing company specialising in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market is looking to recruit a Global Logistics Specialist.
We are an award winning company having recently achieved our third Queen’s Award for industry, with our head office based in a modern facility at Inchinnan by Glasgow International Airport and have a very strong reputation in the market place. Our current turnover is £16m, with plans to grow significantly over the next few years. We export 90% of our sales to approximately 115 countries and we have opened a number of overseas offices including the USA, China, South Africa, and Australia and are planning to set up more in the near future including Japan.
POSITION
Reporting to the Senior Global Logistics Specialist this role will be responsible for:
- Providing administrative support to Territory Managers
- Liaising with customers regarding quotations, orders and deliveries
- Liaising with Production to schedule delivery
- Processing sales invoices
- Preparing export documentation, payment methods eg letters of credit, demand drafts, bonds etc
- Organising all Global Logistics requirements
- Obtaining & negotiating Carrier Freight Rates.
- Liaising with Customs, & Chamber of Commerce
- Facilitating Loan & Returns as required.
- Setting up & maintaining Customer accounts within Efacs systems.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Experience of working within an Export/Sales administration and order processing role
- Previous experience of working with Export documentation and Freight companies would be desirable
- Customer focussed
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Experience of Microsoft Office essential – particularly Word, Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to vary approach and take on new tasks
